OUR FOCUS: TO PRODUCE TUSCAN ORGANIC QUALITY WINES.

Fontemorsi winery uses only grapes produced in its own vineyards and is certified organic by the I.C.E.A.

THE WINES

In most of our red berried vineyards we cultivate Sangiovese, the vine of local tradition which in our soil and climate guarantees production of remarkable quality.

In the other vineyards, we cultivate Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Our red wines are labeled: Le Tinte, Spazzavento, Guadipiani and Volterrano. We also produce a rosé wine, Tresassi Rosato

Our white wine comes from Chardonnay and Viognier grapes produced in the vineyard called Tresassi of approximately 1.5 hectares and is called Tresassi Bianco.

The names of our wines are derived from toponyms found in the cadastral cartography.

PRECISION VINIFICATION

An important advantage of small farms like ours is the possibility of harvesting the same variety of grapes in several stages, typically the highest hilly parts at different times from the lower areas, in order to always obtain the optimal degree of ripeness.

The presence in our cellar of small and medium-sized fermentation vats allows us to vinify each grape variety in purity, with even two or three masses of wine different in quality.

The advantages of this way of operating is evident in the assembly phase when, together with our winemaker, we choose the masses from the various vats to compose the different wines.

In the cellar we take advantage of the precious collaboration of the oenologist Paolo Salvi, recognised as a leading expert of Sangiovese.

Our wines are all still and dry.
